The official tourism board for England, VisitEngland's mission is to promote tourism within England, by encouraging people to take weekend breaks and holidays in regions of the country. This will, they intend, provide up to 250,000 jobs in the tourism industry.
The brand represents tourism in England across 11 international markets, as well as nationally. Their website features include an interactive map, reviews of location-specific activities and businesses, as well as contact information to aid planning a trip.
Collaborating with VisitEngland, myclever intended to build upon the already significant sense of national pride that accompanied the London 2012 Olympics in order to drive the brand’s social media presence upward. Two high-profile campaigns have elevated the brand's profile both online and in the public forum. Both were incredibly engaging, inviting England's public to have their say on tourism in their local area.
Facebook and Twitter held an existing fan base that we were able to increase by over 30,000 fans and almost 4,000 followers respectively. Our campaigns promoted engagement to a 300% increase.
